When I was a young aspiring magician practising my tricks on relatives and friends, Barry McGuigan was at the peak of his career and a big sporting hero.
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that one day I'd floor the world featherweight champion ... with a knockout card trick!
We met at a charity night at the Colin McMillan Training Academy in London on 22 March 2019 when I recognised lots of famous faces from the world of sport and entertainment. Among them was comedian Terry Alderton who I was amazed to discover once played in goal for Southend United!
Earlier on the day of the charity event, I was at one of my regular wedding venues - Gaynes Park in Epping - to entertain Laura and Matteo and their guests who were all fantastic.
There was a time when virtually all my bookings were weddings and although I've branched out into corporate entertainment, weddings will always give me that buzz.
Fortunately, I've been kept fairly busy with weddings in the past few weeks. Spring and Easter have always been popular times of year for tying the knot which brings me to one of my top tips: Book early. I've already got dates in my diary for 2021.
On the Corporate side, I'm looking forward to performing on trade stands and at business events this summer ... and several corporate barbecues.
