Mary-Anne Donovan, fundraising project manager at Saint Francis Hospice in Essex, has sent a message of thanks to Tony for his contribution to a corporate charity event.
Tony was invited to entertain competitors and guests at sporting promoter Barry Hearn’s Golf Day at Thorndon Park Golf and Country Club in Brentwood (Essex) on 24th July 2015.
Despite torrential rain on the course, golfers enjoyed a full 18-hole programme followed by a carvery, auction and evening presentation.
Afterwards, Mary-Anne emailed Tony to say:
"I wanted to offer my sincere thanks for coming along and doing such a fantastic job entertaining our golfers. The evening could have gone either way given the horrible weather that had followed them from the first to the 18th hole – but you really did help to lift the mood. You may be pleased to know that the day itself raised over £15,000 for the charity, even in the wet!"
